About Cj Rhen
Cj Rhen is a composer, producer, mix and mastering engineer, trumpet player, and sax player. His most recent accomplishment is outstanding studio recording engineer at the graduate level recognized by the Downbeat Magazine Student Music Awards awarded for various albums produced in 2023 and his original releases. He has numerous works written for ensembles ranging from big bands and orchestras to string quartets and combos. In addition to ensemble writing, Cj has experience composing for film and other forms of media and working in sound design. He has worked with notable music production based companies for Sounds.com by Native Instruments and Landr Samples as a sample pack producer for musicians and beat makers alike to use in their projects. Cj also has experience writing commissions for specific levels of ensembles ranging from primary schooling to university and professional ensembles. Cj also arranges and performs music on saxophone and trumpet with Aristotle Jones, the Appalachian Soul Man, across West Virginia and the East coast as well as manages band Flight 66 in the northern West Virginia region. Cj is currently teaching courses at West Virginia University specializing in production, arranging, and composition. He is seeking students for lessons in composition, trumpet, and saxophone with an emphasis in improvisation and harmony. He is also seeking commissions for all types of ensembles, media, and more.
